Saturday night we were having a girls' night. We were all sitting up in the living, putting on fake nails and doing pedicures and watching 27 dresses. It was fun. So about 1am Dylan comes upstairs (he was in bed) and informs me that Taivan threw up. Not a huge deal 'cuz kids randomly throw up sometimes. But I (and sometimes Dylan) ended up being up with him until he was finally done and asleep about 4:30am. But instead of falling fast asleep, I started to get sick and by 7:30am I still had not slept all night. Sunday went by in a blur. One by one someone would succumb to the evil forces of the norwalk virus. We all wondered who would be next. At first we tried to pin it on something we ate but the more people got sick, the more the idea was unlikely. By Sunday night only my dad, Dylan, and Noah and my two neices had survived the strange outbreak, leaving seven of us passed out on couches, beds, floors. We all got so sick of being sick and not being able to hang out together that on Monday night we all gathered in the living room with our blankets and pillows and played Apples to Apples. Each of us had our own individual piles of cards so that none of us had to move. We were quite a funny sight. Though our weekend didn't turn out quite as we thought it would, it will definitely go down in Blake history as one of the most memorable family gatherings.
