Last Friday we got to go to the annual Meridian Dairy Days Parade! Parades are interesting things for our family. First off, we never ever remember to bring chairs or a blanket. We end up sitting on some uncomfortable curb, this time it was the yellow painted meridian. Secondly, they always start the parade with all the police cars, fire engines, ambulances. And they all honk their horns and wail their sirens even though they are within ten feet of little children who most often are not exactly thrilled to see these noisy things. Taivan has at least progressed to the point that he only covers his ears. Noah, on the other hand, well, you'll see his reaction in the pictures below. Other than the loud noises, the parade was a blast. They handed out chocolate milk, TCBY ice cream, string cheese, and tons of candy that we had to start hiding from the kids after they picked it up. So we walked back to the car with sticky, chocolately, and worn out children. But it was fun and our sore backsides didn't take too long to recover.
