I got to run another 5k this last weekend. It was really fun....afterwards. Before the race I was sitting in my car keeping warm while several idiots were out there running around the parking lot 40 minutes before the race even started. I incessantly mocked them. I was not going to get out there and run the 5k before I ran the 5k. I mean, I stretched, I ran around for a few minutes. After the first mile I swore I would never mock those people again. If nothing else, they were acclimating their lungs to the cold air. The first mile was pretty much torture. I couldn't breathe and my lungs hurt. Yeah, I'm a beginner. Idiot. Anyway, the last two miles were pretty good. It's always nice to choose somebody that is constantly ahead of me and try to stay with them. It is such a beautiful run too. Mostly all along the Greenbelt, next to the river and in the fall. And it was great to come around the final stretch and see Dylan and my cute little guys watching for me and cheering me on. I was very pleased with my time... 31.31. Hopefully next time I can get it under 30 minutes. Oh, and the best part about after the race is that I get to snack on the best bagels in the world. Blue Sky Bagels...Mmmmm. Seriously, sometimes I think I just do these races for the bagels. Anyway, here are some pics from the race.
